Our Goal The Program Development initiative has two distinct but related goals.The first is to combine the innovative program design expertise of Global Learning Semesters with the deep topical knowledge of HACU in order to develop Latin American programs that address the issues relevant to Hispanic students today. At Global Learning Semesters, we only develop programs where we feel we can bring unique knowledge and value on the academic side. We have no doubt that in partnership with HACU we can design Latin American programs that are highly relevant and academically coherent. The second goal is to think creatively about non-traditional study abroad programs that can help broaden the scope of opportunity for Hispanic students who cannot yet consider a traditional study abroad opportunity. In particular, we will be examine how we can help non-traditional study abroad students get started in terms of internationalizing their experience. As with all aspects of the HGA, we hope this will be a collaborative effort that draws upon the expertise of HACU institutions! |
